CMS Looks to Hire Principal

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Columbia Middle School is on the search for a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as its next principal, the Moses Lake School District (MLSD) announced this week. The position, which begins July 1, 2025, offers an exciting opportunity for an educational leader passionate about empowering staff, engaging students, and advancing equity.
The incoming principal will be expected to establish a shared vision for learning that aligns closely with MLSD’s strategic plan. A key focus of the role will be fostering a Professional Learning Community (PLC) that cultivates continuous improvement and ensures high levels of academic achievement for all students.
Qualified applicants must hold a master’s degree in educational leadership or a related field and possess or be eligible for a valid Washington State principal’s credential. Candidates should also bring successful teaching experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Columbia Middle School serves students in grades 6–8 and is one of three middle schools in MLSD. The district serves more than 8,200 students across Grant County and employs over 1,100 professionals throughout its system.
